L-band Radiosonde
The L-Band Radiosonde is a balloon-borne upper-air sounding terminal designed to operate with ground-based L-band receiving equipment. It performs comprehensive high-precision detection of temperature, pressure, humidity, wind direction, and wind speed throughout the atmosphere from ground level to 36 km altitude and within a slant range of 200 km, providing stable and reliable observational data support for upper-air meteorological operations.
Description
The L-Band Radiosonde is a balloon-borne upper-air sounding terminal designed to operate with ground-based L-band receiving equipment. It performs comprehensive high-precision detection of temperature, pressure, humidity, wind direction, and wind speed throughout the atmosphere from ground level to 36 km altitude and within a slant range of 200 km, providing stable and reliable observational data support for upper-air meteorological operations.
Key Features
This L-band radiosonde was created with a small and lightweight design to fit within the weight restrictions found on standard weather balloons. As a result, field operators can easily attach and launch the radiosonde during an observation mission. The radiosonde contains the latest generation of temperature, humidity and pressure sensors and will produce stable and accurate readings as the radiosonde rises through the lower and higher portions of the atmosphere. This means that the radiosonde will obtain true atmospheric measurements from each of the layers it encounters. This in turn allows the radiosonde to provide accurate measurement data to assist with scientific investigations at high altitudes.

Application fields
Our sounding devices are widely applied in various practical scenarios. They deliver layered atmospheric data to support daily weather analysis, numerical forecasting and severe weather monitoring for meteorological services. They supply full-range high-precision atmospheric parameters to facilitate atmospheric research and professional equipment calibration. Relevant wind and atmospheric data can guide aviation route arrangement and airport weather assessment effectively. Multi-height meteorological readings also assist farmland climate monitoring, crop protection and agricultural disaster prevention. The acquired upper-air data helps experts conduct rainfall analysis, flood prediction and watershed management. It also supports pollutant diffusion research, ecological evaluation and emergency environmental management by capturing real vertical atmospheric distribution conditions.
Why Choose Our L-Band Radiosonde
Tailored perfectly for mainstream L-band ground receiving devices, this radiosonde achieves smooth signal transmission and complete data integrity with no extra frequency adjustment needed. Fine-tuned sensors and mature signal processing ensure steady consistent performance among all finished units, keeping unified data standards for large-scale network layout and long-term climate data accumulation. Its wind measurement performance is verified through actual repeated field launches to ensure indexes conform fully to real observation environments. It adopts classified pressure detection precision fitting different altitudes to meet high-standard research demands in middle and high atmospheric layers. The portable lightweight structure fits all common weather balloons well and can be put into existing launching procedures directly. Stable and durable working performance also keeps delivering qualified observational data steadily to satisfy round-the-clock continuous upper-air observation needs on site.
