A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has struck Panama; the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported the focal depth at 35 kilometers.

More than 300 aftershocks have been recorded in the area following a magnitude 7.7 earthquake last Friday. That quake damaged hundreds of homes and facilities, prompting the government to declare a national state of emergency over the weekend.
Local emergency services reported no fatalities, though at least 27 people were injured and nearly 900 homes were damaged. Authorities believe the casualty figures could rise.
